I suck at watercolors

But I'm going to try to work on it. By doing one a day. I'm starting with things that I am thankful for. Because right now, when it feels like money runs everything and I have no control over it, it helps to think of these things.

Once I get bored I'll probably start painting monsters.

an inspiration for watercolors for me is definitely this guy

Bonus! I mean, Awesome!

Freddy and Frank are going to be in the newest Awesome Anthology put together by Charlito and Mr. Phil of Indie Spinner Rack! Well, technically in the attached mini-comic, which is still Awesome! It features work by some of my fellow students as well. And half of the proceeds go to the CCS Scholarship Fund! Bonus. I met Mr. Phil at SPX and gave him a comic, he was super nice, and I think they mentioned me and some of my classmates on one of the podcasts. But I can't remember which one. I think Jen knows. Jen?

This is Freddy. She's the star of a kids book I'm working on, and also probably the star of my final project for the year, which I think is going to be a sort of modern Little Lulu type thing. Except Freddy doesn't have a lot of human friends. They're mostly dogs.

my new best friend

more sketchbook

I really want to make this into a screenprint. So many color possibilities....
I'ma start scanning sketchbook stuff like this. Just like that boy I know.

7 days!

this is from a few weeks ago, the Valentine's day issue. I drew it, and Mr. Joe "the pro" Lambert colored it so beautifully. It's the cover of 7 days, a publication that circulates through all of Vermont.
This week a comic that I did is running on the "drawn and panelled" page . And a couple weeks ago, Chuck Mcbuck was in it!!
Every other week 7 days features a comic by a CCS student or alumni on this page. It's totally sweet.
