More Kids

Some comics by my favorite little friends from last week....

Brian drew comics about a cute little ducky who electrocuted things
P1000435

And he drew this one.  How amazing are those two middle panels??
P1000434

Coleman knows his slapstick
P1000433

Helen drew a "rocketship with babies attached to it"
P1000410

Ella decided to draw Frank.  He looks great in a bow tie!
P1000404

Frank does Jersey Shore
P1000399

I love this one
P1000398

But this one, is my all time favorite.
P1000432

Chuck invented this exercise, where I draw the first and last panels of a 6 panel comic page, and then photocopy it, and the students fill in the blank panels.  The first time I did it, I didn't have that many expectations, but it's AMAZING.  Everybody usually comes up with something completely different!  And it's incredible how clear the stories come out, and how imaginative they are.  I love it.  I haven't tried it with kids younger than 8, but I'd like to someday.  I bet even 5 year olds could do it.

Makin' the Comics!

We're heading up to White River Junction this weekend to make a ton of books!

Sundays 4 will be in production as well as Kids, the anthology that José and I will be putting together.

Both will debut at MoCCA next weekend!!!

Also, I'm collecting all the journal comics I've been putting up here, along with the memory comics and pages from my sketchbooks. While I was putting it together, part of me wants to just light it all on fire and forget about it. But I'll leave that up to you guys, feel free to buy it and read it then light it on fire! I mean this in the best way possible.

Here's the cover (the full spread)

So yeah, we'll be at MoCCA, next to our buddies Secret Acres!

And I've been thinking a lot about dancing. I might start taking tap again. Or jazz.
