National Geographic June 1980

Yesterday I joined a couple other draw-ers at the most excellent cafe Casa del Popolo for a little hang out/ drawing session. We were going to draw the LARPers at the park but it rained. The drawing group has a blog here, it's organized by Aimee Van Drimmelen. She does some beautiful drawings. I also met Fabiana Fortes, and Sophie Laplante, who do awesome stuff as well!

These are some drawings I did from an issue of National Geographic. The cover of this issue is a photo of a baby orangutan hugging a human baby. Priceless.

More sketches from Montreal

On top, a bike that should be yellow. Why are the colors changing when I post these and how can I make it stop?

Le Cagibi is an awesome cafe nearby, and the bar above is across the street. It says bar I think 8 times on the outside.

Montreal!

For the month of July I am living in the most beautiful city ever, interning at Drawn and Quarterly, a totally incredible publisher.

I have been hanging out at cafes a lot, drawing. Seriously, I love this place. What do you guys think? Should we move here?

Ziggy is the dog I have been staying with. He is the greatest.

A Gem from Jose

Jose just posted this song to his blog...so I copied him.  Della Humphrey is freaking amazing.  This video is really weird...don't watch it, just listen.  Thanks Jose!
