Missing Max

The wonderful Max de Radigues, the fellow at CCS this year and an amazing cartoonist and friend (he also rules at skateboarding), just left Sunday to go back to Belgium. We miss him so much already. Check out his comics if you haven't already. He understands teenagers better than most people I know.

He drew this strip about his last couple days with us in Vermont. There I am giving him hugs...

So if you didn't already know, James Sturm, my ol' buddy and teacher and founder of the Center For Cartoon Studies, has been doing a biweekly comic column on Slate.com about giving up the internet for 4 months. This week I have a strip on it. Check it out!

My colors are all over the place. It's kind of a good experiment though...I'm working with a palette, but sometimes I want to be more pastelly and soft, and sometimes I want to be really bright.

Also, if you feel like visiting Vermont, the thesis exhibition is from May 15th to June 15th! Opening reception on Saturday, May 15th, following commencement. Come see all the work by me and my fabulous classmates! The commencement ceremony is on May 15th at 11 am, it's open to the public, and Evan Dorkin is our speaker!!!
